Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has uncovered the information needed to destroy Max Branning (Jake Wood) in EastEnders, after discovering he was the one who left Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) to die.
Max, who has made enemies for decades through his affairs and the families he has torn apart, was attempting to secure an annulment from Cindy. He tasked Oscar (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) with getting her to admit on tape that they never consummated their marriage. Oscar reluctantly accepted, but his efforts were thwarted when Cindy instead discovered the truth about Zoe.
Cindy's Leverage Over Max
With Kat (Jessie Wallace) seeking revenge on the man who left her daughter to perish, Cindy now holds the leverage she needs to take Max for everything he has. The question is what she will do next.
In Thursday's episode, Cindy demands answers from Max. The episode proves tough for him as problems mount when HMRC catches up with him over his New Zealand property.

Elsewhere, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has a new outlook on life due to his friendship with Ned Hawkins (Jamie Bamber), but Lauren remains suspicious and does some digging.
Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) starts to question Amy Mitchell's (Ellie Dadd) version of events after she claimed she leaked his private pictures. Amy avoids answering, but Denzel may work out that Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) was behind it all.
