Strictly Come Dancing fans and judges were united in praise as Delta Goodrem marked her return to the dancefloor with a series first. The Australian singer, who missed last week's show due to a fractured rib, performed a Rumba to Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" alongside professional partner Kai Widdrington on October 24.
Fans React to Delta's Stunning Performance
Viewers took to social media to express their admiration, with many calling her performance the best of the night. One fan posted: "I love Delta she is just so humble and she has such a charming quality about her always so grateful. Fave dance of the night for me and I normally don’t like the Rumba."
Another added: "I can't believe Delta is coming back off an injury and she's only one that didn't make a mistake. She's also had the best dance of the night so far." A third commented: "Thank goodness Delta Goodrem is here to save the day, even with a rib injury she’s tearing everyone else up."
Judges Heap Praise on the Comeback
The judges, including Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton du Beke, echoed the fans' sentiments. Anton said: "This is my favourite dance of the series by a million miles. I've got some advice for you moving forward, I would continue to have a rib injury."
Motsi added: "This was one of the best Rumbas I've seen." Shirley told them: "You could say, I loved your Rumba. Well done you."
A Series First and More 10s
The couple achieved the first perfect 10 of the series, awarded by Anton. This was quickly followed by two more 10s for Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita from Motsi and Anton again.
