Delta Goodrem has been dealt a crushing blow ahead of this week's Strictly Come Dancing after she was forced to pull out earlier this series due to an injury. Each week, a celebrity and their professional dance partner are eliminated from the BBC competition, and the latest betting markets suggest one star is at risk.
Tabby Stoecker Leads the Betting
Since the series began, the frontrunner to win the competition has changed. At the start, Dani Dyer was the favourite to win, before she was overtaken by EastEnders star Lacey Turner.
While Delta Goodrem has a good chance of reaching the final, it looks like she will miss out on lifting the Glitterball Trophy in a devastating blow, as Tabby Stoecker is the favourite to win with odds of 11/8. Lacey Turner has odds of 7/4, while Delta has odds of 5/1.
Speaking on the latest markets, Betway's Lewis Knowles said: "Tabby Stoecker was as big as 12/1 to win the show only a few weeks ago, and the Olympian was a relative outsider, but she has really caught the eye over the last few weeks, and has catapulted herself to the head of our outright betting at 11/8.
"Former favourite Lacey Turner still has a really solid chance of lifting this year's Glitterball Trophy at 7/4, and the market is suggesting it could be a two-horse race this year, with huge prices available for the majority of the other contestants."
Bethany Antonia Favoured for Elimination
Ahead of Saturday's Halloween special of Strictly Come Dancing, the bookies have also been predicting which celebrity will be leaving this weekend, and actress Bethany Antonia is the 2/1 favourite.
The market suggests a few of the contestants could be at risk of being sent home, with Jaime Winstone, Cach Mercer and Lawrence Robb following closely in Betway's next elimination betting.
Speaking on the latest markets, Betway's Lewis added: "Bethany Antonia may well be the favourite for elimination going into week six of Strictly Come Dancing, but there wouldn't be much between her, Jaime, Cach and Lawrence in the betting, and all four of them will feel they are at risk of elimination this weekend."
Delta's Return After Injury
Earlier this month, Delta and her dance partner, Kai Widdrington, had their future thrown into doubt after the Eurovision singer was forced to miss a week due to a rib injury.
However, the duo returned to the dancefloor last week, and they were out to impress after landing their first score of 10. Anton du Beke awarded Delta and Kai a 10 for their Rumba.
He said, "This is my favourite dance of the series by a million miles. I've got some advice for you moving forward, I would continue to have a rib injury."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
