Justin Timberlake is reportedly planning an *NSYNC reunion in a bid to 'reinvigorate' his career after his current world tour has been plagued by criticism and poor ticket sales. The 44-year-old singer's Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which concludes tonight in Istanbul, has faced accusations of lackluster performances, last-minute cancellations, and half-empty venues.
An insider told the Daily Mail that Timberlake understands why fans were disappointed but believes a return to *NSYNC is the next logical step. 'The songs he did with them both for the Trolls soundtrack and his album - Everything I Thought It Was - were well received,' the source said. 'He knows that the fans want them back, so after his tour is done, he is going to spend some time with family, maybe entertain doing a film and then hunker down and reunite with his boys and make the *NSYNC reunion finally happen.'
Timberlake's tour has been marred by negative viral moments, including fans walking out in Romania after he allegedly sang only a few words of each song and wore a hat and glasses that obscured his face. In Dublin, he placed the mic on the floor and let the audience sing instead of performing his dance moves. Concertgoers in Lithuania, Transylvania, and Norway also expressed disappointment, with one claiming he finished his set 40 minutes early.
The singer's legal troubles added to the tour's woes. Following his DWAI arrest in the Hamptons in June 2024, he told the arresting officer, 'This is going to ruin the tour.' He also canceled the final US show in Columbus, Ohio, in February 2025 due to illness, and venues had to slash ticket prices to fill seats.
Despite the setbacks, the insider insists Timberlake is not ready to give up. 'He has a lot more in the tank and knows that will get him back on track and reinvigorate his career,' they said, noting that the group has been encouraged by reunions of other boy bands like the Backstreet Boys and Destiny's Child.
