Corrie fans predict Ross Wilkes' downfall as Gary 'figures him out'

Coronation Street fans think they have worked out what is next for Ross Wilkes as he keeps a close eye on Gary Windass and Marco Rhodes in prison, while also believing they have figured out what he has done with Cassie Plummer.

Viewers of the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, will recall that Ross made his arrival in Weatherfield earlier this year, and was soon revealed to be the long-lost father of cobbles stalwart Tyrone Dobbs.

Ross Wilkes' Arrival and Cassie's Past

His arrival, which was orchestrated as a surprise for Tyrone's birthday by his children Hope and Ruby, came much to the distress of Cassie, who came into Tyrone's life herself just a few years ago, as she did not realise who Ross was when they had earlier come across one another at the Chariot Square Hotel.

Cassie had previously told her mother Evelyn Plummer about her ex-boyfriend, who had forced her into sex work when she was underage, and she was then left reeling when she realised that Tyrone's father must have been one of Cassie's clients.

Following his arrival, Tyrone vowed to get to know his father, much to Cassie's horror, and she went out of her way to try and expose Ross for who he really is. While the family was horrified about how Cassie became pregnant with Tyrone, Ross turned on the charm and faked an apology to Cassie, keeping him around.

Prison Manipulation and Fan Reactions

Cassie could not let it go, but it only ended up with her being forced out of Weatherfield. Since then, Corrie viewers have seen even more of a glimpse at Ross' true character, with his toxic behaviour sparking concern for Tyrone's wife Fiz Dobbs.

However, it is not just at home where there is concern, as over at Weatherfield nick, prison officer Ross has been seen manipulating Gary Windass, who was recently sentenced to eight months behind bars for his involvement in Theo Silverton's murder. However, the reformed bad boy has picked up on Ross' treatment of his new cellmate Marco, who is tormenting him and making his life behind bars hell.

During Tuesday's (November 2) edition of Corrie, Gary came across Ross intimidating Marco, whom he had earlier found with a wound to his arm, and despite his wife Maria Windass' plea to keep out of any drama, he could not help but stick up for Marco. But it only rattled Ross, who later found Gary and, using the only tactics he had, began suggesting that Maria was growing close to Idris Nazir while her husband was inside.

But Corrie fans think this will only lead to Gary being the one to bring Ross down once and for all, as many continue to believe he may have bumped Cassie off after she was last seen getting into his car before he whizzed off away from the street.
