Coronation Street fans have said they 'don't understand it' as they issued a call for Ross Wilkes to be caught out by daughter-in-law Fiz Dobbs.
Those who follow the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, haven't warmed to newcomer Ross ever since his arrival in Weatherfield, when he was revealed as the long-lost father of cobbles stalwart, Tyrone Dobbs.
The big reveal came after Tyrone's children, Hope and Ruby, surprised him for his birthday by finding his father through a DNA database, much to the distress of his mother, Cassie Plummer, who didn't realise who Ross was when they had early come across one another at the Chariot Square Hotel.
Ross's Toxic Behaviour Uncovered
It left fans to recall how Cassie had previously told her mother, Evelyn Plummer, about her ex-boyfriend, who had forced her into sex work when she was underage.
Evelyn was shocked to learn that Cassie's father had discovered what was going on, and she never got over it. She was then left reeling when she realised that Tyrone's father must have been one of Cassie's clients.
Despite Tyrone's initial unease, the mechanic decided to get to know his dad. The situation didn't sit well with Cassie, who tried to expose Ross for who he really is. While the family was horrified about how Cassie became pregnant with Tyrone, Ross turned on the charm and faked an apology to Cassie, keeping him around.
Fans React to Latest Scenes
Cassie couldn't let it go, but it only ended up in her being forced out of Weatherfield. Since then, Corrie viewers have seen even more of a glimpse at Ross' true character, and his toxic behaviour will only get worse in upcoming scenes, according to new spoilers.
But it was during Tuesday's (October 20) episode of the soap that Ross was seen making Tyrone uncomfortable. First, he made comments about his and Fiz's daughter, Ruby Dobbs, wanting to get into boxing, after he failed to get Tyrone and his son, Dorin, interested in the sport.
When Fiz shared her disapproval of Ross' concern, and Hope Dobbs suggested her dad was being 'sexist', Tyrone agreed to let Ruby sign up for classes, much to Ross' annoyance. Later, in the Rovers, Ross made comments about Tyrone needing to stand up for himself against Fiz, leaving him uncomfortable.
Viewers Want Fiz to Act
The scenes left Corrie fans flocking to social media to comment, with many confused that Tracy Barlow sat by and listened to her new partner's comments without saying anything, leaving them to share their hope that Fiz will be the one to expose Ross for who he really is, once and for all.
