Coronation Street and Emmerdale schedules changed again this week
Corrie and Emmerdale schedules changed again this week

Coronation Street and Emmerdale will both be missing from the schedule this Wednesday, October 28, as ITV1 airs the Carabao Cup instead. The episodes will also not be available to watch on ITVX or YouTube that day.

The schedule change is the latest in a year of disruption for the soaps, which have been moved around for the World Cup, the Carabao Cup and the UEFA Nations League. These tournaments have led to missing weekday episodes, occasional double-ups and Sunday specials.

Full schedule for the week

Here is the confirmed schedule for both shows:

  • Tuesday – Emmerdale at 8pm, Corrie at 8:30pm
  • Wednesday – No episodes
  • Thursday – Emmerdale at 8pm, Corrie at 8:30pm
  • Friday – Emmerdale at 8pm, Corrie at 8:30pm

Coronation Street storylines this week

In Monday's episode, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) horrifies everyone when he punches Chesney Brown (Sam Aston). Later in the week, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) becomes terrified after convincing herself that Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) has escaped from prison.

Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is shown old family videos by Lucy (Anya Dewin) as she laments failing her daughter. When Christina spots Richie in the background being abusive to Rachel, she flees, dropping her keyring. Lucy then heads to the undertakers, demanding to know why Christina has a keyring with a photo of her mum, as Christina tells George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) about the abuse she witnessed.

Emmerdale storylines this week

After discovering that Baby Tate has been kidnapped, Kim Tate (Claire King) accuses Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) of taking the tot. The situation turns physical, and Kim stabs Thea, realising she is innocent as she bleeds out on the floor. Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) finds Baby Tate safe and sound but is horrified to discover who the kidnapper is.

Meanwhile, a fight between Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) ruins a potential client deal, leading to a bitter argument. When Ruby leaves, Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) convinces Caleb that Ruby is alcohol dependent.
