Coronation Street's Sam begs Nick to change his mind over Bistro sale

Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) pleads with his dad Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to change his mind about selling the Bistro, in next week's episodes of Coronation Street.

Nick tells Sam he plans to sell the business back to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) so he can focus on his son. But Sam, fraught with worry, begs him to reconsider, pointing out that the Bistro is Nick's livelihood and that he loves the place.

Sam's rocky road to recovery

Sam has been struggling since his release from hospital, having been sectioned under the Mental Health Act after a full psychotic breakdown. The breakdown was triggered by vile child predator Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), who had been grooming his classmate Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), leading to Sam's schizophrenia diagnosis.

His recovery has been rocky, with Sam becoming attached to his phone and panicking when he lost it in the Rovers, accidentally pushing Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) down the cellar steps. He also confessed to buying £6,000 worth of cryptocurrency in Nick's name, leaving his dad unable to pay off the debt.

The Bistro's mounting troubles

Nick's problems have been compounded by the fallout from the food poisoning that hit the Barlow clan, traced to dodgy meat from Speed Daal. Leanne suspects Nick of sabotaging her business, influenced by her boyfriend Idris Nazir (Junade Khan), who has been pressuring her to hold Nick responsible.

As the Bistro gets review-bombed online, Nick tells Leanne they've swapped to cheaper supermarket suppliers. Leanne suggests he sell the Bistro, but Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) rejects the idea, accusing Leanne and Idris of trying to buy the business at a knock-down price.

With Nick considering selling the Bistro to focus on Sam, the decision now rests on whether he can say no to his son, especially after everything Sam has been through.
