Jeremy Clarkson has shared a health update while filming the fifth series of his Amazon show Clarkson's Farm. The 65-year-old former Top Gear presenter, who recently returned to screens with series four, revealed in his Sunday Times column that he has been experiencing health issues while driving the Mercedes-Benz G 580.
Clarkson wrote that the vehicle's constant pitching, yawing, and rolling made it impossible to avoid discomfort when not actively doing something. This is not the only health update he has given recently; he also shared details of a recent prostate examination.
The farmer explained that he underwent the screening after losing too many friends to prostate cancer, which kills around 9,000 men in England each year. He noted that the process is worthwhile for early detection, stating, 'I’ve had too many friends go down with prostate cancer, and all it takes to get on top of the situation early is a moment or two of being a bit cross-eyed.'
Clarkson added that his late doctor rarely informed him of medical issues, being too busy name-dropping other celebrity clients like Rita Ora. He now pays for his own medicals every couple of years. The health update comes a year after he underwent heart surgery to clear blocked arteries, just days from death.
He also mentioned using the Mounjaro weight-loss jab, which helped him lose about a stone and a half. After the prostate exam, Clarkson said he went home 'very happy' as initial tests suggested all was well, adding, 'nothing makes you feel better than knowing for sure you’re not going to drop dead tomorrow morning.'
