The Prince of Wales has revealed that Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are obsessed with the BBC show The Celebrity Traitors, which the whole family enjoys watching together.
William made the admission during a surprise appearance on The Graham Norton Show last week. While the main purpose of his visit was to discuss the Earthshot Prize, he also spoke about his family life, including his children's television habits.
Family favourite on the BBC
Speaking about the show, which airs on Thursday and Friday nights, William said: "I love it; the family love it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It's really good telly."
The prince did not mention Prince George or whether he watches the programme, as George now lives away from the family home while attending Eton College. Unlike in previous years, George no longer spends every evening with his family.
Connection to this year's contestants
William's comments come after he met Ross Kemp, one of the contestants on this year's show, during a royal engagement earlier this month. The prince is believed to have joked with Kemp about how jumpy and paranoid he was of his fellow contestants.
On The Graham Norton Show, William said: "I saw Ross Kemp the day after the first episode, and I couldn't help but try in the most appropriate way to touch him to see what reaction I got from him. Turns out he was really jumpy!"
A long-standing family tradition
William and Catherine have watched the show in previous years. Last year, the future king told Stephen Lambert, chief executive of the TV company behind the programme, that the family were excited to watch the 2025 series while presenting him with an OBE.
Lambert said after the ceremony: "He (Prince William) said he and the family were very much looking forward to watching it (The Celebrity Traitors). It was going to be a big treat for them, and probably for the nation, he expected. And I told him about the fact that our celebrities have entered into the game with great seriousness."
William's recent admission about his children's love of the series will be appreciated by royal fans. While the royal children are not working royals and attend school full-time, they remain popular with the public, and the Prince and Princess of Wales give updates about them while balancing this with maintaining their privacy.
