Princess Charlotte and Prince George delighted royal fans on Sunday as they stepped out at Wimbledon with their parents, Prince William and Princess Catherine. The family attended the men's singles final, where Jannik Sinner faced Alexander Zverev. Catherine, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, was set to present the trophy to the winner.
Royal Box Appearance
The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, took their seats in the front row of the royal box alongside their two eldest children. Charlotte, 11, and George, 12, were seen smiling and animated during the match, showing their enthusiasm for tennis. The appearance came after Catherine attended the tournament alone the previous day.
This is not the first time Charlotte and George have accompanied their parents to Wimbledon; they have been spotted in the royal box on several occasions. Both children are believed to be keen tennis fans, often cheering and displaying concentrated expressions during play. Their love for the sport is likely inherited from Catherine, who is an avid player herself.
Prince Louis Absent
While Charlotte and George enjoyed the final, their younger brother Prince Louis, 8, was not present. Speculation had arisen that Louis might make his Wimbledon debut this year, as he is reportedly keen on tennis and even expressed interest in becoming a ball boy, according to Catherine. However, he did not attend. It is anticipated that William and Catherine will bring Louis to the tournament next year when he is slightly older.
The family's outing comes amid a heatwave, but the royal children remained composed and cheerful. Their appearance delighted fans, who noted the children's growing confidence in public settings.
