The Celebrity Traitors season 2 finale will air on Friday, October 30 at 8pm on BBC One, the BBC has confirmed. The episode is scheduled to last 80 minutes, making it the longest episode in the show's history so far.
Finale Details and Spin-Off
When the final episode finishes at 9.20pm, there will be a special 40-minute episode of the spin-off show Uncloaked, in which host Ed Gamble debriefs with the cast. The season has sparked controversy from day one after veteran actor Richard E. Grant's seemingly unhinged move, in which he openly admitted to being a Traitor.
The second season of the celebrity spin-off has caused drama right from the get-go, with original Traitor Richard E Grant accidentally outing himself almost immediately. He has since hit back against "categorically false" claims that he orchestrated the scene to shorten his stint on the show while pocketing his appearance fee.
Recent Drama in the Castle
The chaos in the castle continued after the recruited Traitor Professor Hannah Fry was caught by the Faithful, which prompted the remaining Traitors - James Acaster and Maya Jama - to recruit yet another accomplice, King Kenny. The BBC hit is back this week with a mission that will see the remaining players taken to a mysterious location, where the Traitors must work as a team under tense circumstances.
After claims he had staged the whole thing, Richard E. Grant recently took to Instagram to share: "I usually wouldn't comment on things like this, but I've been made aware some press outlets are suggesting I 'staged' my Traitors reveal to get out of filming. This is categorically false.
"I'm an avid fan of the show and have been since it first aired. Being picked as a Traitor when I was convinced I'd be a Faithful was an absolute dream and a sheer shock to the system."
Fans Back Maya Jama to Win
Fans have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the season so far, with many believing Maya Jama will claim victory. Radio host Paddy McGuinness also believes the Love Island host will win the second season. On his BBC Radio 2 show, Paddy shared his theories and reacted to the latest antics in the hit series.
He believed she would ultimately win as her fellow contestants may struggle to believe that someone so likeable could be a deceitful Traitor. He said: "Folks, hot off the press, Maya Jama is going to win it. That's all I'm saying, I've worked with Maya loads of times over the years and she is so lovely that you'd genuinely go, 'It can't be her! It can't be her!' There you go, get down the bookies."
One fan on X said: "Maya Jama is going to win The Traitors, she's going totally under the radar." While another added: "Maya is a really good Traitor. Not a single person suspects her and so far she's playing the role of Faithful well."
Another viewer shared: "I must say Maya is ace as this game kinda rooting for her to win!" A final fan agreed: "I think Maya can win this as a Traitor on her own." Fans will have to wait and see whether any more Traitors are banished ahead of the finale, which is just days away.
