Celebrity Traitors episode eight review: Drama but Faithful fail to find clues
Celebrity Traitors ep 8: Drama but Faithful miss clues

The latest episode of The Celebrity Traitors was full of tense drama, but the Faithful once again struggled to identify the Traitors, leading to another wrongful banishment. Comedian Miranda was murdered, and the Faithful saved three suspected Traitors after a mission.

Miranda's Murder and Missed Clues

Miranda became the fifth person to be murdered, a choice that disappointed reviewer Daniel Bird, who noted she had been on top form throughout every episode. Her theory that Joanne McNally might be a Traitor proved wrong, and she was close to identifying Maya Jama as the actual Traitor before backtracking.

After the Field of Screams mission, the Faithful decided to save James, Maya, and King Kenny, despite the trio being suspected. Maya laughed at the news that someone had "game-changing power," and Kenny joked about being identified as the "most trustworthy."

King Kenny's Power and Joanne's Mistakes

King Kenny received a dagger from host Claudia Winkleman, giving him the power to deliver two votes at the Round Table and the deciding vote in the next episode. Joanne continued to make mistakes, questioning whether she was a Traitor or Faithful, which frustrated the reviewer.

Joanne and Sharon tied with four votes each, and the person leaving will be a Faithful, marking another banishment of one of their own.

Sharon's Attitude and Future Banishing

The reviewer believes Sharon will be the next to be banished, citing her attitude at the roundtable. Sharon repeatedly said she "couldn't care less" and told others, "Vote for me, but I am Faithful," which seemed to invite banishment. Michael noted her behavior changed after Hannah Fry was banished.

The episode lacked the fight from the Faithful, according to the review, and it didn't deliver as much as anticipated, despite its drama. The Celebrity Traitors continues next Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer.
