Big Brother viewers slam 'disappointing' twist as Sam and Twinks keep handcuffs on
Big Brother fans fume over 'disappointing' handcuff twist

Big Brother fans are fuming over a 'disappointing' twist after Sam and Twinks chose to keep their handcuffs on for the full 24 hours, despite having the power to remove them at any time.

In Wednesday's episode (October 21), Sam and Twinks secretly planned to play along with the task, knowing they held all the power. The duo hinted they would eventually take the cuffs off in an act of revenge against Rochelle, who had chosen them to be inseparable for the day.

Rochelle's reward and the secret power

As part of the ongoing House of Time theme, Big Brother gave Rochelle the chance to win an extra 30 seconds to spend with her loved ones back home. But she could only earn the reward if two housemates of her choosing stayed handcuffed for a whole 24 hours.

Rochelle picked her 'rivals' Sam and Twinks to be inseparable for the day, but she didn't know that they could take off the handcuffs at any time and remove 30 seconds from her current timebank.

Twinks' frustration and viewers' disappointment

In a clip shared on Instagram, Twinks is seen fuming as she says: "I've been a good sport, and for us to relinquish these cuffs and no one even be like 'well done guys' you know or like 'good.' And for that woman, to at no point today say 'thank you.'"

She added: "I'm going slightly out of my mind… me and my boy gave you 30 f**** seconds for 24 hours… Gratitude, empathy, kindness costs nothing."

The fashion stylist is also heard threatening: "If she gets 30 seconds and we did all of that, I will start ripping this place apart with my bare hands."

Fans react to the twist

Although Twinks appears frustrated by Rochelle's disregard for her sacrifice, viewers at home have been left baffled by the pair's decision to keep the cuffs on for the whole day.

One social media user questioned: "You are kidding me...they kept them on? How disappointing." Someone else agreed, posting: "I'm so annoyed they didn't rip those cuffs off at the earliest opportunity."

A third fan chimed in with: "Ughhh I was hoping they'd take the cuffs off," while a fourth added: "OMG THEY LITERALLY HAD THE CHANCE TO TAKE OFF THE HANDCUFFS!!!!".

It comes as a surprise to long-term viewers because Rochelle has made it clear she isn't a fan of Twinks since her very first night in the house. The duo has continued to clash for weeks, so fans expected Twinks to sabotage the task as revenge.

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
