On Monday's episode of A Place In The Sun, presenter Jasmine Harman left house hunters Clare and Paul thrilled when she revealed that the sellers of a four-bedroom villa in the northern Costa Blanca were including a car for free. The couple, who had already sold their UK home, were searching for a property with a budget of £450,000.
A Stunning Find
After the first property failed to impress the couple, who have three older children, Jasmine showed them a four-bedroom villa spread across three floors. As they arrived, Clare said: "Wow," while Paul added: "You've done us proud with this one." A gleeful Jasmine replied: "And you've not even gone inside yet!"
Jasmine then shared more good news, saying: "And guess what? The car is included as well!" Paul quipped: "Even better." Clare added: "Something we're looking for." Jasmine said: "So you know, it's all basically handed on a plate isn't it!" Paul replied: "It's a sign."
Inside the Villa
The trio headed inside to view the property, which boasted an "amazing" private saltwater pool, incredible views, and a balcony. Clare and Paul were very impressed, even calling it a contender. Later, they told Jasmine they would like to make an offer on the property, leaving the presenter delighted.
Although they didn't know the area well, Paul praised the spacious villa. It was time to make an offer, and although the asking price was just over their budget at £457,000, they started with an offer of £360,000.
Negotiations and Acceptance
Jasmine was informed that the offer had been rejected and the sellers had given a counteroffer of just over £386,000. Paul then gave a counteroffer of £367,000, which was rejected. The sellers' next counteroffer was £378,000 and included all of the furniture in the property.
Over the moon, the couple accepted that offer, with Jasmine saying: "I couldn't be happier for you!" A Place In The Sun airs Monday to Friday at 6pm on Channel 4.
