Game of Thrones may have concluded in 2019, but the HBO fantasy epic continues to attract new viewers. The series, which ran for eight seasons, grew through word-of-mouth to become one of the most popular dramas globally, often hailed as one of the greatest TV shows ever produced.
The show launched the careers of actors such as Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, and won numerous Emmys. Despite a divisive finale, Game of Thrones remains a compelling tale with a richly detailed world, well-rounded characters and complex villains.
Following its success, HBO has expanded the Westeros universe with House of the Dragon in 2022 and now A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, premiering next week. The new spin-off is set a century before Game of Thrones and about 90 years after House of the Dragon, bridging the gap between the two series.
Game of Thrones seasons one to eight are available to stream on NOW with an Entertainment Membership. It is also accessible via various Sky packages. The new Essential TV bundle from Sky includes Sky TV, Netflix and Discovery+ for £15 per month, without a satellite dish.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will premiere on January 18 on HBO in the USA, and on Sky and NOW on January 19. The six-part series will be released weekly. HBO has already renewed the show ahead of its debut.
