Prime Video's Spanish Horror 'Tell Me Your Name' Offers Festive Chills
Spanish Horror 'Tell Me Your Name' Hits Prime Video

As Christmas streaming schedules fill with festive cheer, Amazon Prime Video is offering a chilling alternative for viewers seeking a break from back-to-back Yuletide content. A new Spanish horror series, Tell Me Your Name, has released all six of its terrifying episodes, ready for a spine-tingling binge-watch.

A Supernatural Threat in a Divided Town

Originally titled Dime Tu Nombre, the series is set in 1997 in the small strawberry-farming town of Fuensanta, Murcia. The story begins when the community welcomes a group of Moroccan seasonal workers, who settle in a nearby abandoned village. This arrival sparks growing cultural tensions, which NGO leader Sonia and local priest Father Ángel attempt to manage.

However, the settlement uncovers a series of ancient nightmares linked to a darkness spreading through the town. The official synopsis warns: "What they don’t imagine is that Fuensanta’s foundations hide something capable of unleashing their worst nightmares, regardless of their beliefs or prayers."

An Impressive Cast and Creative Team

The series boasts a strong international cast. Spanish actress Michelle Jenner, known for The Goldsmith's Secret, leads as Sonia. She is joined by Argentine star Dario Grandinetti as Father Ángel and Moroccan actor Younes Bouab as Safir, the Imam.

Significantly, the thriller is produced by Skybound Entertainment, the company behind the global phenomenon The Walking Dead. The series first launched on Prime Video on Halloween, with all episodes now available.

Viewer Acclaim for the Scary Series

Early viewers have been quick to praise the series on review platforms. On Rotten Tomatoes, one fan wrote: "After a long time I’ve watched a horror show with a good story line, great messaging and creature building." Another added: "Loved each episode."

A review on IMDb stated: "Excellent series with great performances from all the actors; interesting temporal context... religion; terror and entertainment – a pleasant surprise."

This release follows a trend of horror finding a popular home on streaming services. Recently, Netflix added the new I Know What You Did Last Summer film, which horror fans hailed as one of the best of the year, in time for Halloween.

Tell Me Your Name is available to stream now on Amazon Prime Video, offering a perfect antidote to an overload of Christmas movies.
