Fans of the beloved sitcom Schitt's Creek have only days left to binge-watch all six seasons on Netflix, as the show is set to be removed from the platform on 15 May. The streaming service has placed a notice on the title page, alerting subscribers that the final day to watch the series will be next week.
The series, which follows the once-wealthy Rose family as they adjust to life in a small town they bought as a joke, has become a cult favourite since its debut. Created by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, it stars Dan Levy, Annie Murphy, Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy. The show's first season received a 69% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but later seasons achieved perfect scores.
Alongside the main series, the documentary Schitt's Creek: Best Wishes, Warmest Regards, which looks back at the final season, will also be removed. It is currently unclear whether the show will find a new streaming home in the future, though some fans have speculated it could land on Disney+ after a similar removal in France.
Netflix recently released Dan Levy's new series Big Mistakes, which some have called a 'perfect replacement' for Schitt's Creek. However, the timing means new viewers may struggle to discover the original show. Despite hopes for a spin-off or sequel, Dan Levy has confirmed that plans were halted following Catherine O'Hara's death.
