Ruth Jones and James Corden have been spotted filming together again, sending Gavin & Stacey fans into a frenzy. The pair, known to audiences as Nessa and Smithy, were reportedly seen with a film crew this week.
Reports suggest the duo were shooting in Eastbourne, where they were filmed aboard a boat at Sovereign Harbour on Wednesday (October 14). The sighting has sparked excitement among fans of the beloved sitcom.

On TikTok, a user named Alisha posted: "Not every day you see Smithy and Nessa on your morning walk." The footage she captured quickly drew reactions from fans.
One person said: "Bring back Gavin & Stacey." Another wrote: "No way." A third replied: "Okay. Super fan!" Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Oh, what's occurring?"

The reason they're back together
According to reports, Jones and Corden have begun production on The Choir, an eight-part comedy series set to debut on Apple TV. The show follows estranged siblings Ben (Corden) and Lisa (Jones) who haven't spoken for many years.
Guest stars include Ted Lasso's Hannah Waddingham, X-Men's James McAvoy and Harry Potter's Jim Broadbent, meaning audiences can expect something special.
Earlier this year, the pair revealed the concept stemmed from their own families' involvement with choirs. Corden's mum and Jones' sister have both participated in such groups.
