The acclaimed crime drama 'Animal Kingdom' has been added to Netflix's UK library as of today (February 3). All six seasons of the series, which originally aired from 2016 to 2022, are now available to stream.
The show follows Joshua 'J' Cody, a teenager who moves to Southern California to live with his estranged grandmother Janine 'Smurf' Cody after his mother dies of a heroin overdose. J soon discovers that Smurf and her three sons—Pope, Craig, and Deran—make their living through armed robberies and other criminal activities.
Based on the 2010 Australian film of the same name by David Michôd, the series has earned an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers have praised its gripping storytelling and intense family dynamics, with some comparing it favourably to other crime dramas such as 'Breaking Bad' and 'Ozark'.
