Netflix is set to remove the 2009 horror film Jennifer's Body from its library on November 7, giving fans just days left to stream the movie.
The film stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried as two school friends who fall out after one is possessed by a demon and develops a taste for boys. Fox plays Jennifer Check, a cheerleader sacrificed to Satan by an indie band, while Seyfried plays her best friend Anita 'Needy' Lesnicki. The cast also includes J.K. Simmons, Adam Brody, Chris Pratt and Kyle Gallner.
Why fans love the film
Despite a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 36 per cent, Jennifer's Body has a devoted following. One reviewer called it "The perfect mix of gore, dry humour satire, original story, and, of course, an amazing soundtrack," adding that it "continues to delight even after seeing it ~10 times" and calling it "A modern cult classic."
Another fan said the movie was "so misunderstood when it first came out because it's so much more than just a horror movie," praising its dark humour, gore and the friendship between Jennifer and Needy. They added that the film touches on female friendship, jealousy and how women are treated, and said "Megan Fox was literally made for this role."
When to watch before it leaves
Jennifer's Body has been on Netflix since May this year. It will be removed from the platform after November 7.
