F1 World Champion Lando Norris will give fans unprecedented access to his life beyond racing in a new Prime Video docuseries titled Lando, set to launch next year.
The streaming platform describes the show as “a never-before-seen look at the current F1 World Champion: a man who is not only defending his crown but also giving unprecedented access to a more personal side of his life, and what matters to him beyond the racetrack”.
Norris Announces Documentary on Instagram
The 26-year-old racing champion shared the news in a video posted on Instagram. Filming himself in the mirror while holding up a camera, he said: “You might have seen me over the course of this season with this camera, and that is because we have some pretty awesome news to share.”
He continued: “We’re filming a documentary along with Prime Video, and it’s going to be taking you well into depth about my life. About my whole life away from the racetrack, so the stuff that you never really see.”
Norris explained that while fans may have seen his own behind-the-scenes videos, his LandoLOGs, this project would be “way bigger. Way better.” He added: “And for a lot of you, you’re part of that journey, and this is my chance to get to share more of that with you because you’re always there supporting me every single weekend. So you are pretty much the reason I do all of this, and I’m just very excited to share this all with you. We’re coming out next season 2027.”
What to Expect From the Series
In a separate statement, Norris said: “I’m really excited to be doing this with Prime Video. We’ve been filming for a while already and I’ve had a lot of fun with it. I already share a lot of what I get up to, but this is going to give people more access than ever before to my life away from racing. I’ve been really involved in the whole thing, so hopefully people will enjoy seeing more of what goes on behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to people seeing it next year!”
The series will trace Norris’s journey from his childhood go-karting days in Bristol to his rise in the racing world. He will also discuss his racing heroes, including the legendary Valentino Rossi. The show was filmed over the summer in the run-up to his 27th birthday.
Prime Video promises an “authentic insight” into Norris’s world, from his antics with friends to quieter moments with his family. It will also cover the highs of winning his first Grand Prix of the season, including his profile soaring and the attention that brings.
The streaming platform calls the programme “an intimate, stylish yet raw look at one of the most exciting talents in sport”. Lando is Prime Video’s latest series focusing on a major figure from the sporting world, following the launch of Meet the Owens with former England player Michael Owen last week. It was also announced that Peter Crouch and his wife Abbey Clancy are filming their own reality series for the streamer.
