Film enthusiast Luke Eccleston has revealed the 10 series he believes every Netflix subscriber should have watched at least once, spanning psychological thrillers, horror, true crime, and chess.

Posting the recommendations on TikTok, he said: "So you are wasting your Netflix if you haven't seen these 10 TV series." He added that he "highly recommends" every show on the list, encouraging anyone yet to watch one of them to give it a try.

1. Behind Her Eyes - The six-part psychological thriller starring Simona Brown, Eve Hewson, Tom Bateman and Robert Aramayo. The plot centres on single mother Louise, who becomes entangled in a complicated relationship with her psychiatrist boss while forging an unlikely friendship with his enigmatic wife. Created by Steve Lightfoot and adapted from Sarah Pinborough's novel, it holds a 63% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. Eccy Reviews called it "so good" and said it was the "best limited series Netflix have ever dropped".

2. The Haunting of Hill House - Created and directed by Mike Flanagan, the series charts a family who spent their childhood in an allegedly haunted house before being drawn back together years afterwards following a tragedy. The cast includes Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Henry Thomas, Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. It has a 93% critics' score and 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Eccy Reviews branded it "absolutely terrifying".

3. Unbelievable - Drawing from real events, it centres on a teenager who reports being raped before subsequently retracting her statement, while two female detectives probe what truly occurred. Kaitlyn Dever, Toni Collette and Merritt Wever head the cast, with the series created by Susannah Grant, Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon. It boasts an impressive 98% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes.

4. You - The sinister thriller featuring Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, an apparently charming bookshop manager whose romantic pursuits rapidly transform into perilous obsessions. Created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, the series spanned five seasons and also featured Victoria Pedretti, Elizabeth Lail and Tati Gabrielle. It holds an 89% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, with its debut season achieving a remarkable 94%.

5. Baby Reindeer - Penned by and featuring Richard Gadd, the limited series chronicles aspiring comedian Donny after a gesture of compassion towards a fragile woman escalates into an unsettling fixation. Jessica Gunning and Nava Mau also feature. It presently maintains a 99% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Eccy Reviews stated anyone who hadn't yet viewed it should "make sure you go and check it out now".

9. Money Heist - Follows criminal mastermind The Professor as he recruits a team to execute a massive heist at the Royal Mint of Spain. Created by Álex Pina, it stars Álvaro Morte, Úrsula Corberó, Jaime Lorente and Pedro Alonso. It holds a 94% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. Eccy Reviews described it as "so intriguing" and "twisted and fantastic".

10. The Night Agent - Based on Matthew Quirk's novel, it centres on low-ranking FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who operates in the White House basement manning a telephone that rarely rings - until it does one evening, dragging him into a perilous conspiracy. The series features Gabriel Basso and has now reached three seasons, with the most recent instalment released in 2026. Eccy Reviews praised the programme as "amazing".
