Money Heist fans have been left in awe after Netflix dropped the first trailer for the spin-off series, Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine. The new show follows beloved character Berlin, played by Pedro Alonso, as he leads a team of master thieves in a heist to steal a priceless Da Vinci painting.
Set before the events of the original series, the spin-off’s first season saw Berlin in Paris stealing €44 million (£38 million) worth of jewels. Now, two years later, the charismatic criminal returns to Spain for an ambitious new mission in Seville, where he and his gang will need to execute their greatest feat yet.
Netflix has teased the series as “beauty, danger, and pure criminal elegance,” with the trailer promising action, tension and plenty of steamy drama. Joining Alonso are returning cast members Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña Fernández and Joel Sánchez, alongside newcomer Inma Cuesta as Candela.
Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement, with one YouTube commenter calling it a “masterpiece” and another saying, “It was the right choice to make him the first character from Money Heist to have his own spin-off.” The series is scheduled to premiere on 15th May 2026 on Netflix.
