Prince William has reportedly issued a brutal verdict on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's life in the UK, telling a source he doesn't believe they will stay for long. The Prince of Wales is yet to reunite with his younger brother and sister-in-law since they moved back to the UK at the end of August, and is said to be in no rush to do so.
William's Reported Prediction
According to a source speaking to Closer, William doesn't see the couple remaining in the UK. "William doesn’t believe they’ll even last another six months," the source said. "He’s counting on them giving up and moving back to America as soon as they realise they can’t just bulldoze their way into getting everything they want."
The source added that William is reportedly flat out refusing to be in the same room as Harry and Meghan, and is staying out of their security battle. "He’s staying out of this security battle because he knows anything he does will be used against him by Harry, so he’s giving that a wide berth and counting on the powers that be to do the right thing," the source said.
Family Tensions and Recent Events
The couple are currently living in the Cotswolds, and their short time in the UK has already seen drama. After just a few days at their initial school, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were pulled out and placed in another school due to security concerns. The Sussex camp was also shaken after King Charles confirmed their status as private citizens in an official statement.
The source also said William is finding it hard to watch his father take a soft stance with Harry and Meghan. "It’s very hard for William to watch his father being so soft on them," the source said. "He truly cannot understand why Charles is giving them so much latitude after everything that’s happened. He just has to accept that there’s no changing the King’s mind, which is incredibly aggravating."
Disrespect Over Diana Documentary
The source said William thinks Harry is being "so blatantly disrespectful" by cosying up to Charles Spencer while he publishes his book, and by going off to do a Diana documentary. Prince William is reportedly furious over Harry's plans for the documentary, having reportedly been approached about similar projects himself but turned them down.
