Prince William 'furious' as Harry and Meghan return to UK
William 'furious' over Harry and Meghan's UK return (23.08.2026)

Prince William has reportedly been left "furious" by the announcement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are returning to the UK, with a new poll suggesting his response could make him appear "unreasonable".

The Prince of Wales, 44, is said to be angered by the news that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, are coming back to the UK. GB News presenter Camilla Tominey revealed that a new poll shows just four per cent of people believe William should make the first move in "peace talks".

Brothers not on speaking terms

It is believed William and Harry have not spoken since 2022, when they both attended Queen Elizabeth II's funeral. Their relationship had become strained in the years prior, when Harry stepped down from his role as a senior working royal and relocated to America with Meghan.

This led Camilla to point out: "We don't even know if there are any peace talks!"

No reconciliation on the cards

Speaking to GB News royal correspondent Cameron Walker, Camilla admitted she found it interesting that people have gone from believing the brothers would never speak again due to the damage caused by Harry's book, Spare, the Sussexes' bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey and their Netflix documentary, to now questioning whether the couple could spend Christmas at Sandringham with the rest of the Royal Family.

When asked what the reality is, Cameron explained: "William and Harry are not on speaking terms, I can tell you that for a fact."

He added: "An invite to Sandringham is up to the King, William wouldn't have a say in it, however, I think the optics will be very interesting because it's very easy to avoid your estranged brother when there's an Atlantic ocean in between you."

Media storm warning

Cameron argued: "It's much harder when you're living in the same country and the King inevitably may well invite Harry and Meghan to certain private events that William would want to go to."

He continued: "If William refuses to go to these events, that's going to create a media storm in itself."

Camilla agreed, suggesting that some people will view William as "unreasonable", while others believe he is justified in never wanting to speak to Harry again. She said: "It's going to make William look unreasonable even though many people watching and listening to this sympathise with the bloke never speaking to his brother again."

Harry and Meghan will be landing back in the UK alongside their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, before the end of the month.
