Prince Harry's autobiography, Spare, contains a series of sensational claims about the Royal Family, including that he and Prince William urged their father not to marry Camilla. The book, which went on sale early in Spain, has been obtained by the BBC and other media outlets.
One of the most striking allegations is that Harry was physically attacked by his brother. According to the Guardian, Harry claims William grabbed his collar, ripped his necklace, and knocked him to the floor during an argument about Meghan Markle. The incident allegedly took place at Harry's London cottage.
Harry also writes about his grief over the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. He describes seeking help from a woman who claimed to have 'powers' and told him that Diana said he was 'living the life she wanted for you'. The book recounts how his father, King Charles, woke him to break the news of Diana's accident but did not hug him.
In another revelation, Harry says he lost his virginity at age 17 to an older woman in a field behind a pub, describing it as a 'humiliating' experience. He also claims that William and Catherine laughed when he wore a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party in 2005.
Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace have declined to comment on the claims. The book's official release date is 10 January, but early copies in Spain led to widespread leaks.
