Season 3 Plot Recap
Following the cliffhanger of season two, where Jackie and Cole confessed their love in front of Alex (Ashby Gentry) and George (Marc Blucas) was rushed to hospital, season three begins with George on the mend. Jackie and Cole finally pursue a relationship, but it hits a snag as Cole begins to doubt he is good enough for her, leading to a breakup.
During the breakup, Jackie grows closer to Elliot, an intern for Uncle Richard (Alex Quijano), whom she knew from New York. In the finale, as Cole prepares for a racing qualifier that could win him significant money, Jackie celebrates the opening of a community centre with Elliot. But when Cole receives a text from Jackie thanking him for helping with the centre, he decides to pull out of the race to win her back.
The Shocking Ending
Cole's withdrawal enrages competitor Danvers Stacey (Jedidah Goodacre), as it cancels the qualifier and the prize money. In a fit of rage, Danvers rams Cole's car on a dirt road, causing Cole to crash and flip over. Simultaneously, Elliot kisses Jackie, and the episode ends before viewers see her reaction.
