Pomp and pageantry took over central London on Saturday as the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony was held in glorious sunshine to mark the King's official birthday.
Crowds Gather for the Procession
Thousands thronged The Mall as a procession carried the King and Queen and other royals to take in the traditional regimental display. The event was one of the biggest royal ceremonial days of the year.
Balcony Appearance and Flypast
Senior family members later gathered on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to acknowledge the crowds and watch a spectacular flypast by the Red Arrows.
