Sarah Ferguson's Whereabouts Shrouded in Mystery as Family Remains in the Dark
Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, has effectively vanished from public view, with her current location unknown even to her closest family members. This development follows her departure from Royal Lodge in February alongside her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, sparking widespread speculation and concern within royal circles.
Daughters Beatrice and Eugenie Lack Full Picture of Mother's Location
Senior members of the Royal Family, including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are reportedly unaware of Sarah Ferguson's exact whereabouts. Sources indicate that the princesses "do not know the full picture" regarding their mother's situation, adding a layer of personal intrigue to the public mystery. This uncertainty has persisted since Ferguson and Andrew were required to vacate Royal Lodge earlier this year.
While Prince Andrew has relocated to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, albeit with reported reservations about the property, Sarah Ferguson's movements have been far less transparent. Royal journalist Rob Shuter highlighted this in his Substack, quoting a source who stated, "No one knows exactly where she is… And that includes the very top... There’s real uncertainty about how much Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie know…. They may not have the full picture either."
Last Public Appearance and Ongoing Scandals
Ferguson's last public appearance was at the funeral of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, in September last year, making her absence increasingly notable. The discussion around her location is further complicated by her past associations with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender. Recent reports suggest Ferguson feels "incredibly betrayed" by certain Royal Family members amid the ongoing Epstein scandal fallout.
Emails released in Epstein files revealed Ferguson referred to him as her "dear spectacular and special friend," drawing intense criticism. Both she and Andrew, who denies any wrongdoing, have been mentioned multiple times in these documents, adding to the pressures she faces.
Potential Comeback Amid Feelings of Isolation
Despite the mystery, Shuter believes the public will soon learn of Ferguson's whereabouts as she is likely planning a comeback. The source explained, "She’s not someone who disappears for good… She always comes back.... She’s thinking about a comeback. She’ll resurface, and when she does, it will be on her terms."
However, another source described Ferguson's current state as one of isolation and bitterness. They noted, "Sarah feels incredibly betrayed... Fergie’s very bitter, she’s angry and feels wronged by everyone in the family." This emotional turmoil is compounded by the fact that she was not offered a royal residence after leaving Royal Lodge, unlike Andrew, who now resides at Sandringham but has been seen only sporadically in public.
As the situation unfolds, the Royal Family and public alike await clarity on Sarah Ferguson's location and future plans, with her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly as much in the dark as anyone else.
