Sarah Ferguson has reportedly arrived in Portugal to help Princess Eugenie with her newborn baby, sources have claimed. The former Duchess of York has been keeping a low profile for almost 12 months following scandals surrounding the Epstein Files, which showed how Sarah had kept in touch with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein even after he was sentenced for child sex offences.
Appearing in the Epstein Files does not indicate wrongdoing, however since the release of the files, Sarah has been 'in hiding', with her last known location being an Austrian ski chalet. Now, reports suggest that she is in the sun-soaked country to help her daughter adapt to life as a mother-of-three.
New Arrival in Portugal
These reports come after it was revealed this week that Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank had welcomed their third child - a baby girl - on August 3. The princess gave birth in Portugal, where she and her husband spend half of their time living in a lovely £3.6million oceanside luxury villa near Melides. This is due to Jack being a marketing executive with Discovery Land Company in Portugal.
Sources are now claiming that Sarah is back in the area to help Eugenie and Jack with their newborn girl, who has yet to be named.
Local Reports
Staff at the nearby O Fadista restaurant, which the Daily Mail visited this week, say Eugenie, Jack and Sarah are regulars, and that there are reports Sarah is back in the area.
One waiter told the publication: “Eugenie and her husband are regulars and have been here quite a few times with friends. Their mothers have also been here several times but I’ve never seen the father, Andrew.
“Now Eugenie has had a baby, there has been talk that Sarah is back in Melides to help her with the new little one.”
Unconfirmed Rumours
Sarah has not been publicly spotted in Portugal, which means that the rumours are yet to be confirmed.
However, Sarah is known to adore being a grandmother, and therefore it would come as no surprise if she wanted to help her daughter care for her newborn baby, as well as Eugenie and Jack’s two sons, August and Ernest.
Princess Eugenie’s last public message was on Tuesday, when she shared a photograph of her newborn daughter.
She wrote on Instagram: “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
The name of the new royal baby is yet to be announced.
