RJ Mitte's fiancée devastated after actor's death at 34

RJ Mitte's fiancée, Kennedy Suarez, is coming to terms with the devastating death of the 34-year-old actor, whom she was looking forward to spending the rest of her life with. The Breaking Bad star died just over a year after becoming engaged to Suarez, his representative confirmed.

A Life Cut Short

Mitte, who starred as Walter White Jr. in the hit show alongside Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, died in Texas, leaving his family in agony. The actor and the human resources professional announced their engagement last year, and the couple appeared to be going from strength to strength. Suarez largely stayed out of the spotlight during their time together, and the pair were close friends for more than a decade before deciding to make their relationship romantic.

A Special Proposal

Mitte, who had cerebral palsy, got down on one knee at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in front of guests at a gala, and Suarez was quick to say yes. It was even more special after he popped the question to his stunned girlfriend on her 30th birthday in California.

Speaking to People after their engagement, Mitte said: "I'm thrilled to have found my person, my partner in life who makes me want to be better, no matter what we're doing. Kennedy is my everything, and I can't wait to officially start our life together and see what adventures life takes us on next."

Final Words and Legacy

In a statement, his spokesperson said: "It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte. Drawing from his own experience living with cerebral palsy, Mitte brought authenticity to the role and built a platform on disability awareness and inclusion."

In the days before his death, Mitte opened up in his final interview about one of the most complicated scenes he had to film during his time on the show. The programme followed Walter White as he was diagnosed with stage-three lung cancer, before producing and selling methamphetamine to pay for his treatment and leave behind money for his family, with Mitte playing his son. He said: "It's the last time he talks to him. In reality, I didn't understand it as much as I do now. But I still had a lot of pressure and felt a lot of pressure in trying to make sure that was right."
