Princess Kate's Three-Word Summary of Meghan Markle Revealed

The Prince and Princess of Wales are determined that the return of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have no impact on their lives, according to reports. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced plans to move back to Britain from their home in Montecito, California, before the end of the month.

Their children, Archie and Lilibet, are already reported to be enrolled in schools in the UK, with the couple set to live in a non-royal property outside London.

William's Stance on Harry and Meghan's Return

King Charles and his eldest son were both informed at the same time of Harry and Meghan's relocation plans. Prince William is reportedly "adamant" that there can be "no way back" for the couple to rejoin the Firm, following their departure as senior working royals in 2020.

Since leaving the UK, Harry and Meghan have achieved financial independence from the Royal Family and have given a series of candid interviews about their experiences within the institution, including Harry's memoir, Spare, in which he made numerous allegations against his relatives.

Kate's Initial Impression of Meghan

Close associates of William and Catherine have revealed that while they "cannot forgive" the Sussexes for their damaging claims against the Firm, they remain determined to "look forward to the future", reports the Daily Star.

However, relations between the two couples were markedly warmer when Meghan first arrived in the UK to be with Harry. When the Duke of Sussex introduced his partner to his brother and sister-in-law, Catherine is reported to have described Meghan as "friendly".

Yet in his book, William and Catherine: The Intimate Inside Story, the Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers reveals that Kate had another three words to describe her future sister-in-law.

A "Touch of California"

The book claims that upon meeting Meghan, Catherine found her somewhat overly familiar with a "touch of California". Furthermore, the Princess of Wales is said to have been less determined than her husband to prevent Prince Harry from stepping back from his royal duties, reportedly viewing his departure as "inevitable".

Catherine is also believed to have felt that Harry would always desire more than a "bit part" role within the royal family, and that she "could do no more to bring the brothers together". Previously, the Princess of Wales had been regarded as a moderating influence as the rift between Harry and William continued to deepen.
