Princess Kate's Brooch Could Be Secret Gift from King Charles

Princess Catherine wore a Bentley & Skinner brooch to secure her sash at the latest state banquet honouring the Sultan of Oman, and royal fashion fans have taken to social media to speculate that it may have been a gift from King Charles III.

On X, a British royal fashion enthusiast posting to an account with the name @Remisagoodboy said: "Forgive me but I overlooked Catherine's Bentley & Skinner Brooch that is securing her sash. It is reported, but not confirmed to have been a 40th Birthday present from King Charles III."

Fans React to the Brooch

The brooch has fascinated other royal fashion fans. Another person replied: "Gorgeous Art Deco looking brooch; KC has excellent taste. I have become a big fan of the art of the brooch."

The item was used attached to her Royal Victorian Order sash and star alongside King Charles III's Royal Family Order, adding another layer of royal history and symbolism to the outfit.

The Princess's Full Ensemble

Stepping out alongside Prince William, the princess wore a yellow Elie Saab gown. The floor-length dress featured a gathered bodice, a cinched waist and a flowing pleated skirt, while delicate cape-style sleeves draped elegantly from her shoulders.

The princess also wore Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara, a spectacular diamond and pearl headpiece famously worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The State Visit

The Prince and Princess of Wales joined forces to support King Charles as the monarch welcomed Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman for a historic three-day state visit to Britain. Queen Camilla was at the heart of the celebrations, with Princess Anne and the Duchess of Edinburgh among the senior working royals who attended the prestigious evening event.

William and Catherine held crucial roles in the evening, demonstrating their increasingly prominent part in the monarchy. The day started with William undertaking a significant royal duty on behalf of his father, personally greeting the Sultan at his London residence before accompanying the Omani ruler to Windsor for the official welcome.
