The Princess of Wales has offered a rare glimpse into her relationship with Princess Anne, revealing that the King's sister often shares photographs from her sailing trips with the family.
During a visit to the Isle of Bute last week, Catherine spoke with a local and mentioned that Anne, The Princess Royal, frequently sails in the area. The princess then hinted that she sees Anne often, disclosing that Anne shows the family her sailing photographs.
Rare admission about royal private life
In a rare admission about the private lives of the royals, Catherine told a local: “I know the Princess Royal comes sailing, doesn't she, round here?
“Absolutely, I can see why. She often shows us her photographs. It's really beautiful.”
The comments come as Catherine has been a member of the Royal Family since 2011, when she married Prince William. Although she was not born into the Royal Family, she has always got along well with her husband's royal relatives, particularly some of the more senior members.
Close bond with Anne
While Catherine does not talk much about her royal relationships behind closed doors, the princess and Anne have always seemed close when out and about on joint engagements or at big royal events.
This is likely to be nice for Catherine's husband Prince William to see, as it is believed he looks up to his aunt Anne, who is often dubbed the hardest-working royal.
