Princess Charlotte has sparked a fan frenzy after appearing in a new photograph shared by her parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales. Over the weekend, Prince William and Princess Catherine shared a new photograph on their social media pages, taken over the summer. The photograph shows Catherine and her family after she completed the Three Peaks Challenge, standing alongside local mountain rescue volunteers. It was shared to mark Mountain Rescue Awareness Day.
Royal Message of Thanks
A message signed by William and Catherine alongside the photograph read: "On Mountain Rescue Awareness Day, we send our heartfelt thanks to all those who volunteer their time and expertise to keep people safe in some of our most beautiful but challenging landscapes. Through our connection with this remarkable organisation, we have seen first-hand the dedication, professionalism and compassion that define their work.
"Meeting local mountain rescue teams during the Three Peaks Challenge this summer was an opportunity to say thank you in person for the vital role they play in keeping walkers and climbers safe on the mountains all year round. We are incredibly proud to support the extraordinary volunteers who respond in all conditions, often at a moment's notice, to help others when they need it most. Fans Compare Charlotte to William
While the photograph was praised by royal fans for many reasons, it seems that Charlotte's appearance in the sweet picture captured their attention. Standing proudly in a navy jumper, denim jeans, and blue trainers, the 11-year-old princess looked so much like one royal relative in particular that many were quick to point it out.
One fan wrote in the comments on the post by The Prince and Princess of Wales: "Charlotte looks so much her dad in this pic." Another said: "Lovely photo! Charlotte looks like her daddy in this one, and she's getting so tall!" Someone else said: "Charlotte looks so much like William; they are twins!" Another fan wrote: "Charlotte is starting to look like William and the late Queen."
The Three Peaks Challenge
The photograph was taken this summer when the future queen completed the Three Peaks Challenge. The princess hiked the three biggest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. This charity is very important to the princess, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer at the start of 2024. She underwent six months of chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
In a video taken around the time of the challenge and shared on Instagram, Catherine said: "Lots of people have asked me why I am doing this challenge and partly it's personal - I'm so grateful to be here, to be strong enough to walk these hills. But, more importantly, it's to give something back and acknowledge, really, all of the incredible work going on up and down this country."
