Princess Anne's neighbour reveals train station sightings

Princess Anne may be a senior member of the Royal Family, but away from the royal spotlight she is not too dissimilar from everyone else. The Princess Royal, who carries out hundreds of royal engagements every year, tends to use public transport to get around.

While this is not always the case, with the King's sister sometimes needing private transport from her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire to wherever the royal duty of the day takes her, it is believed Anne is no stranger to trains. She is regularly seen at Kemble train station, with just some security by her side.

Neighbour's account of royal sightings

This was revealed by one of her Cotswolds neighbours. British TV personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen told the Daily Express that he has spotted Princess Anne at their local train station many times.

He said that while she is a royal, she travels in a very "unfussy" way. The TV personality said: "I've met her on the train quite often, yeah we're on kind of nodding terms.

"She travels with a few burly but super smart military types, all very very unfussy. No one bats an eyelid, we're all used to her. Prince [now King] Charles used to do it lots as well, at our local station Kemble."

Anne's standing within the Royal Family

Princess Anne is frequently considered to be one of the most popular members of the Royal Family, with many royal fans liking the way she simply gets on with royal duty with no drama.

It is believed this has made her a very trusted member of the Royal Family, explaining her close relationship with her brother King Charles. It is also believed younger royals look up to Anne, including Prince William and Princess Catherine.
