Prince William has offered a rare glimpse into the mischievous personality of his youngest son, Prince Louis, during a royal engagement earlier this week. The Prince of Wales, 43, was attending the National Federation of Women's Institute in Ascot on 8th September to mark the third anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth II's death.
During afternoon tea with WI members, trustee Nina Derrick asked William if Louis was 'a bit of a handful'. The future king replied: 'He's a character, but he's a very good boy. He likes to wind his brother and sister up.' The comment suggests that Louis, seven, enjoys teasing his siblings, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 10.
William also shared insights into his eldest son, Prince George, noting that his public behaviour differs from his private demeanour. 'When George is behind closed doors, it's completely different. George just knows how to behave,' he said with a smile. The father-of-three also confirmed that the children had returned to school after the summer break, adding jokingly: 'Thankfully yes.'
The Wales family are preparing to relocate from Adelaide Cottage to their 'forever home' at Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park. The eight-bedroom mansion is set in extensive grounds with forests, grasslands, lakes and gardens. No official move-in date has been announced, but commentators expect the family to be settled by Christmas.
