A new YouGov poll, with results posted on July 30, has revealed that Prince William is the favourite royal among Britons. The 44-year-old, currently first in line to the throne, has a 76% favourable opinion. Princess Catherine, his wife, follows closely with 74%.

The poll, which ran between July 21 and 22, shows that 16% of those polled have an unfavourable opinion of William, while 8% answered 'don't know'. For Princess Catherine, 13% hold an unfavourable view.

Most disliked royal

The most disliked royal remains Prince Andrew, who lost his royal titles and honours last year over his connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The poll shows that 92% of Britons see Andrew in an unfavourable light.

Harry and Meghan's ratings

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also feature in the poll, despite not being working members of the Royal Family since 2020. Harry is favoured by 29% of Britons, while Meghan is liked by just 22%. The couple, who now reside in California, recently visited the UK, where they reunited with King Charles and their children.
