Prince Harry surprised his wife Meghan Markle with an unexpected video call during her appearance on Masterchef Australia. In a clip shared by the show, Meghan is handed a phone in the studio and finds her husband on FaceTime, greeting him with "hi, my love" as the room cheers.
Harry calls from Canberra
The Duchess of Sussex introduced Harry to the judges and contestants, showing him the dishes being taste-tested. She told him: "We wish you were here," and explained to the judges that he was "in Canberra right now. With the veterans." Harry praised the "wonderful" look of the set and asked to see the dishes, with Meghan turning the camera to show him.
"All is well"
The Duke apologised for disturbing and told his wife to enjoy, adding that "all is well" where he is and he would see her later. Meghan beamed and replied: "Okay I'll see you later. Say bye to everybody! And there's the crew! Love you, talk to you later, bye!" The episode was filmed earlier this year when the couple were in Australia.
Fans react
Fans rushed to comment on the video, with one writing on Instagram: "Love this." Another said: "This is beautiful." A third commented: "They have such an adorable relationship."
