Prince Harry plans more UK visits after successful trip

Prince Harry is reportedly planning to visit the UK more often after a successful trip in July, during which he reunited with his father, King Charles. The Duke of Sussex spent five days in Britain, attending an event marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

During his stay, Harry was joined by his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet. The family spent private time with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove, marking the monarch's first meeting with his grandchildren in four years. No details of the meeting were made public, but it is believed the visit was a success.

Increased frequency of visits

Following the July visit, reports suggest Harry wants to return to the UK every few months, continuing his charity work and working towards reconciliation with the Royal Family. A source told The Times that 'the template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which he's determined to make the best games yet.'

The source added: 'So he'll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months. The way the wind is blowing, he's going to want to be here more and more. He's happy these trips can now have more focus on the patronages and be less obscured by the other nonsense. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family.'

Past visits and future plans

Before July, Harry last met his father in September 2025, when he attended the WellChild Awards. He was also in England in January for his High Court case against Associated Newspapers Limited but did not see the King. Harry is expected to return next July for the Invictus Games and possibly for the 30th anniversary of his mother's death on August 31.

A royal source said: 'There's no doubt he enjoyed his time in the UK with his family, especially getting the opportunity to see his father with his wife and children. The last few years have been incredibly emotional for him, and now he's reached a place where he wants to not only visit his home country more, but also would really like to be with his family. If the King were to attend the Invictus Games next year, and appear in public with him, it would be a huge moment for all of them.'

Despite his desire to spend more time in the UK, Harry continues to seek reinstatement of his taxpayer-funded police protection, citing safety concerns for his family.
