The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has stated that he experienced racism within the Royal Family. In a recent interview, he discussed the controversy surrounding remarks made about his son Archie's skin colour before his birth.
The issue first came to light in 2021 when Harry and Meghan Markle told Oprah Winfrey that a royal family member had expressed concerns about how dark Archie's skin might be. Harry declined to name the individual at the time, but a new book has allegedly identified King Charles and the Princess of Wales as the royals involved.
The Dutch version of Omid Scobie's book 'Endgame' reportedly names Charles and Catherine, though the English version does not. The Dutch publisher has since withdrawn copies, citing a translation error, but the translator insists the names were in the original manuscript.
Harry has previously stated that he does not consider the comments racist but rather a result of unconscious bias. The Palace has not commented on the latest allegations.
