The clip, posted by TikToker @lollystoun, who frequently posts videos featuring the Royals, captures the 62-year-old royal meeting a young blind boy named Corey, who arrived with a card he had made for him.
Prince Edward, who is less prominent in the public eye than King Charles III and Anne, Princess Royal, is known for enjoying a quieter life away from the spotlight. Still, he is well loved, and this latest moment appears to be exactly why. The gentle exchange has warmed hearts worldwide, with the Duke handling the meeting like a true gentleman.
In the video, Edward gently touched Corey to signal his presence before someone explained that the boy had created a card for him. "Oh, really?" he responded. "That's all he wanted to do, is give you a card," they clarified, and the Prince appeared genuinely moved.
"That's very kind, thank you very much indeed," he said warmly as he opened Corey's card. He also observed that they had been "trying desperately to keep it out of the rain" to prevent damage, clearly appreciating the effort that had gone into making it. "Very good, excellent, well, that's very, very kind," he added, admiring it once more.
