Piers Morgan has responded with a blunt three-word remark to the news that Prince Harry and Meghan have changed their children's school. Commenting on the Sussexes' decision to remove Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet from their new British school, Morgan said: "The circus continues…"
Children pulled from school after two days
Prince Harry and Meghan withdrew their children from the new establishment after just two days due to security concerns. The children are now enrolled at another school, with sources close to the couple stressing that there was no problem with the school itself. Concerns were instead focused on the practicalities and security of getting the children there and back each day.
Despite the security team checking out the school during the summer, two days into term it reportedly proved difficult to travel in convoy with security vehicles.
Family's statement on the decision
A friend of the couple told HELLO!: "It’s a real shame, because they absolutely adored the school, the kids and their parents. It was perfect for them in every way and the children really enjoyed their time there. They really wanted to make it work, but they had to make a difficult decision based on the fact that the team couldn’t make the school run operationally secure."
It is believed that after attending a taster session on Monday, the children will now attend another school in the area.
A spokesman for Harry and Meghan said: "The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements. The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family. This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there."
Morgan's ongoing criticism
The fast move comes as Harry continues to push for greater security protection for his family now they have returned to the UK. Morgan's attack is not the first from the outspoken journalist in recent days, as he quickly jumped to criticise Meghan's latest Instagram post.
He posted on X: "Quick to point out the hypocrisy surrounding their privacy debate, he penned: "So they demand privacy and want taxpayer-funded security to protect them... whilst simultaneously posting footage to social media that reveals images of the children and where they're all living? [confused emoji]."
Initially commenting on the pair's move, the 61-year-old said: "This has gone down like a sack of old rotting potatoes." Morgan continues to critique their "stinking hypocrisy", claiming that they had previously trashed the monarchy and now want the privileges of royal status without the corresponding duties.
