Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have officially become husband and wife. The Little Mix star and the professional footballer tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held in Portugal's Algarve region.
A Long-Awaited Union
The wedding took place four years after the couple announced their engagement in 2022, marking the culmination of a nine-year relationship that began in 2017. Sources close to the pair confirmed to the Mirror that they exchanged vows in Quinta do Lago, an upscale resort community in southern Portugal where Edwards owns a private villa.
Intimate Reception and Special Moments
After the formal proceedings, the newlyweds, both aged 32, hosted an intimate reception for immediate family and close friends at the nearby Parrilla Natural restaurant. According to attendees, the couple's eldest child, four-year-old son Axel, participated directly in the ceremony. The event followed a larger pre-wedding welcome party hosted by the couple the previous evening.
Notable Guests
The guest list featured prominent figures from both the entertainment and sports sectors, including former bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, as well as Carl Jenkinson, Alex's former teammate at Arsenal. Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed was also in attendance.
Recent Family Expansion
The nuptials arrived five months after the birth of the couple's second child, daughter Alanis Valentine. In a recent interview on the We Need To Talk podcast, Perrie publicly discussed the couple's personal journey to parenthood, revealing that they had navigated two miscarriages, one prior to the birth of their son and a second following his birth.
Both Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain, who currently plays for Celtic in the Scottish Premier League, are reported to be residing at their holiday estate following the weekend's events. No further statements regarding a honeymoon have been released.
