The Daily Mail reports that the King has enlisted his new deputy private secretary, Theo Rycroft, to broker peace. Rycroft, a former diplomat who joined the palace in February, is described as a calm and skilled operator, earning him the nickname 'Mr. Nice Guy.' He reportedly views the brothers' estrangement as 'ridiculous' and has made it his top mission to get them talking again.
Rycroft hopes to take action when Harry returns to the UK in July for Invictus Games preparations. The plan reportedly involves facilitating a meeting between Charles and Harry first, then persuading William to join. There is also hope that Harry might bring his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, whom the King has rarely seen.
