Amanda and Clive Owen, stars of Our Yorkshire Farm, have candidly joked about a potential 'sign' from their wedding day. The former couple, who separated in 2022 after 22 years of marriage, reflected on their nuptials during a repeat episode of their Channel 4 series Our Farm Next Door aired on Friday, July 3.
Thunder and Lightning on the Wedding Day
During the episode, the couple discussed the Yorkshire village of Muker, where they married in July 2000. Amanda questioned Clive about his last visit to the location, suggesting it might have been July 2000, though Clive believed it was August of that year.
"Why, what happened in August 2000?" Clive asked. "In August, you probably regretted what happened in July!" Amanda exclaimed. Chuckling, Clive recalled: "I remember now, we had a bit of a do in Muker, didn't we? Aye, what a hell of a day we had."
A Possible Sign from the Heavens
Amanda then asked: "Do you think when I got on my horse, to ride side saddle down the road... and there was a great thunderclap and lightning, do you think someone was trying to tell me something?" Clive responded: "Aye, there you are. That could have been a sign, couldn't it, from the heavens? Yeah."
Amanda added: "I'll tell you something though, it's good that we can laugh about it." Clive agreed, recalling it had been "a grand day."
Separation and Continuing Partnership
In 2022, Amanda announced their separation on Instagram, writing: "Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family. Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."
The couple have nine children and continue to co-star in Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and the Kids on Channel 4.
