Mike Tindall reportedly tried to reunite Princes Harry and William over a pint
Mike Tindall reportedly tried to reunite Harry and William

Mike Tindall, the former England rugby player married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara, reportedly tried to help Prince Harry and Prince William repair their relationship by inviting the feuding brothers for a drink. According to royal commentator Emily Andrews, the 48-year-old made several attempts to arrange informal meetings between Harry and William, hoping to act as a peacemaker.

Attempts to Mend the Brothers' Relationship

Tindall reportedly hoped that meeting for dinner or a pint away from the public eye might help ease the tension between the brothers. He has long been considered close to both Harry and William, making him a possible choice to help break the ice.

Despite his efforts, the attempts are understood to have come to nothing, and the brothers have yet to reconcile.

A Long-Standing Feud

The relationship between Harry and William has been strained for years, with tensions worsening after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Harry's subsequent interviews, Netflix documentary, and memoir, Spare, brought further attention to disagreements within the family.

While Harry has spoken publicly about wanting to repair relationships with his relatives, there has been little indication of a breakthrough with William.

Changing Relationships Within the Family

Tindall's own relationship with Harry may also have changed over the years. During an appearance at the Hay Festival earlier this year, the former rugby star reportedly joked about Harry during a time "when Harry was fun."

Meanwhile, reports suggest Zara and Harry, who were close growing up, have also become more distant.

No Breakthrough Yet

The latest claims come as speculation continues over whether Harry and Meghan could spend more time with the Royal Family following their return to Britain. Harry recently spoke about the difficulties of family disagreements, admitting that he still feels the loss of his former relationships. In an interview with GQ, he said he wanted things to work out, while acknowledging that painful experiences can be difficult to move past.

However, reports have suggested William remains reluctant to rebuild their relationship. For now, it appears that even an informal drink with Mike Tindall has not been enough to bring the brothers back together.
