The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly keeping a low profile in the UK in an attempt to “create more interest” among the public, an insider has claimed. Meghan Markle relocated back to Britain with her husband, Prince Harry, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in August.
No joint UK engagements
While Prince Harry has been seen at various UK engagements, he has not been joined once by his wife. The only sighting of them together has been as they walked hand in hand into a Cotswolds pub.
Although it is believed Meghan’s lack of public appearances is down to her wanting to help Archie and Lilibet settle into UK life, the insider has also said that there is a strategy at play. That is to be “less accessible” in order to generate more public interest in her.
Source: Strategy to build anticipation
The source told Closer: “Meghan was advised a while ago to be less accessible because it creates more interest, so that’s the strategy she’s leaning into. She is deliberately biding her time and staying out of sight intentionally, but she’s also got plenty of things keeping her busy.”
“Between unpacking, getting the kids settled into their new routine and keeping her brand and all her other projects moving, she’s going from morning until late at night. When she does start stepping out more, the hope is that she’ll have built up enough anticipation that people will be excited to see her, rather than having her everywhere right away and the public getting sick of her,” the source added.
