Meghan Markle is set to make her first public appearance in the UK in six years on Thursday. The Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK with Prince Harry and their two children in August, with the family of four now thought to be settled into their new life in the Cotswolds.
With the family now living in the UK, a friend of Meghan has given a four-word update: "her diary is full". Meghan has not made any official public appearances since their UK return, with the former working royal spotted with Harry on their way to a pub in Oxfordshire earlier this month.
Charity visits in Nottingham
The 45-year-old will reportedly visit three charitable organisations in Nottingham with Harry later this week. The couple's first visit will be to a youth and community charity in their first joint engagement since returning to the UK. They will also visit two further charitable initiatives that day.
The Community Recording Studio (CRS) in St Ann's, Nottingham, was originally set up to give young people access to music and recording facilities and now offers them a range of creative activities to take part in, with Harry having visited earlier this year.
Focus on family and brand
Meghan had reportedly been keen to focus her time on making sure Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, now aged seven and five, were settled into their new life in Britain. A friend said that Meghan is keen to "stick her head above the parapet" as the family start to feel settled.
In addition to looking after their children, Meghan has been focusing on her brand, As Ever, which launched last year, as well as her charitable causes. Speaking to HELLO!, the friend said: "Her diary is full. It's the kids, As Ever, acting and then supporting good causes in whatever time she has left over. But she's got a really good team around As Ever, the children are a bit older, they are both in school full time. They've got the kids settled. Archie and Lili are really enjoying school. She is able to now stick her head above the parapet a little bit more."
"It's a case of having a little bit more time to re-look at her original career, her vocation as an actor. She's looking at loads of acting offers. She's meeting a lot of writers and creatives, and reading a lot of scripts. If there's anything that stands out as being amazing, then she'll do it."
Recent outings and new life
Just days after stepping out with Harry, Meghan was recently spotted joining friends for lunch at The River Cafe in Fulham, before heading to Claridge's for tea with Nobel Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai. As Meghan met Malala, the former working royal was dressed casually in a cream top, white palazzo trousers, and a loose camel coat. She paired the look with her beige-and-brown pointed loafers and a dark Chanel bag.
Meghan kept her hair in her signature low bun and appeared to be fresh-faced. Her entire look has been reported to be worth around £19,000 ($25,000).
Meghan has previously vowed never to visit the UK, let alone relocate back to Britain. The couple's shocking decision was revealed just days before their return, with King Charles and Prince William only notified days earlier. The family of four are now living somewhere in the Cotswolds, with Archie and Lilibet fully enrolled at a school near their home.
The children have also not been seen in public since their return; however, Meghan has been showing snippets of their new life on Instagram. Last month, a letter sent on the King's instruction insisted that Harry and Meghan should be viewed as "private citizens" on their return to the UK, which "surprised" the Sussexes.
